December 2019: What's in My Trash

It feels like just last week that I've blogged about the beauty products I've used up, and here we are, another post for the new month. In December I wasn't that proactive in using lots of beauty products. I missed lots of nights sleeping without any skincare on because my schedule was too hectic. So, here are the only 3 products that I've completely finished up and the mini reviews to go with it.

1. Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser

I love this facial wash for traveling, but not for daily use, hence I bought the travel-size. The texture of the facial wash is slightly coarse and it's able to exfoliate the skin. Because of the mild exfoliation and its function to clean the skin - I kinda treat it as a 2-in-1 product. However, I think it can be drying on the skin if used regularly, that's why I do not recommend it as a daily cleanser. Whenever I am scheduled for travel, I will purchase this in a travel-size and use it for about a month until it's completely finished.

2. Herbivore Jasmine Glowing Hydration Body Oil

This body oil is a life-saver in the office. My skin always gets itchy and irritated when staying in air-conditioned room in prolonged hours. After putting the body oil, my skin gets the extra hydration and it's not dry anymore. As a bonus, the jasmine smells really great. I already purchased another bottle of this body oil because I do support "clean skincare" product such as this one, plus it is a great staple to have for someone with dry skin.

3. Chanel Sheer Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer

I have a love-hate relationship with this product. Initially, I bought this tinted moisturizer to use it daily. In my mind, putting on a tinted moisturizer is much better than a foundation. After a week, my skin became dry around my nose area. It's weird that my skin behaves as such because the product is a moisturizer after all. Instead of throwing it away, I use it on regular days that I don't feel like dressing up such as to go out for groceries or when I go walk in the park. It has SPF30 PA++ which is sufficient for one or two hours out in the sun. Although it didn't perform as well as I hoped for, I still went on to purchase a new bottle. Don't ask me why.
