10 Beauty Advent Calendar You Should Check Out in 2019

One of the best things when Christmas shopping is the advent calendar that beautifully displayed at the shop windows. Not only it is so pretty as a gift, but some advent calendar is also a bargain. I particularly love the beauty advent calendar because I'm able to try out beauty samples without committing to the full-sized price. Some advent calendar also has full-sized products which give a lot of values to the purchase. The pretty packaging is always a bonus, and you can also reuse them as mini drawers.

What is an advent calendar?

It is a piece of card incorporating small numbered flaps, one of which is opened on each day of Advent to reveal a picture appropriate to the season. It is particularly popular for counting down to Christmas. In this context, an advent calendar is a collection of beauty products (usually stocking stuffer sizes) in tiny boxes or pockets. As you reveal each box or pocket, you are counting down to Christmas. It serves as a pre-Christmas gift, and some is an actual Christmas gift.

Liberty London's advent calendar sells out every year like hotcakes. And some people actually make money by reselling it. So, if you ever get the chance to purchase one, don't think twice. The value of this year's advent calendar is almost £600 but pay only £215. Available only at Liberty.

Paul & Joe

Cat lovers have to have this advent calendar as it features the popular Paul & Joe cat lipstick. Enjoy some full-size products in this collection too. It's only £80 and arguably the most adorable advent calendar.

Generally, La Mer is an expensive and luxury skincare brand. So it is an opportunity to try out a wide array of their products from this advent calendar. Available at La Mer counters for £335.

Maison Christian Dior

The Maison Christian Dior advent calendar is the one I personally would love to get. The packaging reminds me of my childhood Christmas book, but it's a pity that it doesn't look like it's reusable. This collection holds some miniature fragrances, candles, skincare, and makeups from Dior. Available at Harrods and Selfridges only for £340.

Kiehl's go green this year with cotton pockets as the advent calendar holder. This is a partnership with Janine Rewell. You can reuse the pockets by hanging it in your bathroom as storage. The paper bag that comes with it is seeded with plants. Just throw the paper bag into your garden and watch it grow.

The M.A.C. advent calendar is so beautiful, it can pass as a Christmas tree ornament as well. It features almost all of the products you need to look good at Christmas.

This advent calendar will not disappoint you as it contains products to create at least two different looks for the holiday season. Available at Cult Beauty.

I've not fancy any of Lancome's advent calendar, but this year it is worth mentioning that they have multiple of full-sized products. The advent calendar cost a fraction of the La Vie en Rose perfume that is featured here.
