HBL Award: Best Makeup of 2019

Why should you care about the Her Beauty Lookbook Award? First of all, my opinions are organic. I did purchase and tried on these products, so the selection that goes into this post is genuine. Second, I am not paid by the brands to publish this. This is unlike the Magazines Beauty Award where they feature the highest-paid client's products, I am betting that you can rely on my recommendations.

That being said, I hope to retain this as an annual affair where I will talk about the products I love the most, from the vast makeups or skincare that I've tried throughout the year. Here's what made it to the HBL Award for Best Makeup Products in 2019.

Huda Beauty New Nude Palette

I really love the shades of the eyeshadow in this palette. It has that dreamy pink hue that is soft and subtle. The performance of the eyeshadow is also amazing, hence the rave about it being the game-changer eyeshadow palette.

Pat McGrath Mini Trio

I want to thank Pat McGrath for bringing this into her line. Not many brands care about doing a mini version of their products because it takes up more costs to produce. I think Pat McGrath really wanted to let people to try out her lipsticks, hence the mini trio. As a consumer, I'm glad I'm giving the opportunity to try out different shades without having to purchase the fullsized. Besides the amazing business proposition, the product itself is great. It performs better than most high-end lipsticks in terms of longevity.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara

I've been sticking to the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara for awhile now. I like the wand. It doesn't give a spidery result and even combs each lash smoothly. The formula is also semi-thick and not clumpy. If you are interested to try it out, Sephora do sell the mini version.

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil

If you want to do your brow fast without any technical steps, you should try the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil. The lead is so soft and pigmented, so a little goes a long way. The other end of the pencil comes with a spoolie for you to tame some of the stubborn brow hair. After you finished up the product, you can wash off the spoolie and reuse it over and over again. The eyebrow stay put the entire day without having to touch up.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

Born This Way has been a daily foundation that is widely loved. It is infused with hydration, so you don't feel like your skin is oily or sticky underneath the foundation. It is sheer to medium coverage but is able to build up to semi-full coverage. It works best with a Beauty Blender.

In the next post, I will be selecting the best 5 of skincare that I tried in 2019. Stay tune for that if you want a great skin.
